Why you should journal ?

Keeping a journal can be a beneficial self-care practice. How?

🌱A journal is a good place to write your goals, ambitions and resolutions. When you write them down, you can keep better track of your intentions. It helps you to stay accountable and serve as a reminder of what you promised you would do for you!

🌱Journaling can help you spot patterns in your thoughts and behaviours that don’t serve you any good. This way you can do some self-reflection.

I am not creative. People who think I’m are just confusing creativity with attention to detail. I can copy a template or imitate a tutorial video to make something the way I am told. But to come up with an idea and bring that idea to life is completely lacking in my world. So if you’re not creative like me, then start by writing down what you feel in your journal.

Benefits of journaling :

✍🏻 Keep your thoughts organized.
✍🏻 Help achieve goals.
✍🏻 Track progress and growth.
✍🏻 Allow yourself to self-reflect.
✍🏻 Inspire creativity.
✍🏻 Improve writing and communication skills
✍🏻 Reduce stress and anxiety

To create an ideas and bring that idea to life is completely lacking in my world. So if you are not creative like me, then start by writing down what you feel in your journal. Use basic tools first . We can step up the game later as well bruh!

Doodles and diary entries, colors ad poem collections, ideas and newspaper clipping can all find a home on the pages of a journal.

Tools to crank it up a notch

✅ memo pads spiral/hard bound journals
✅ stationery
✅ craft ideas
✅ fineliners/ highlighters
✅ washi tapes & stickers

Types of journaling:

✍️ To-do list/Monthly planner journal
✍️ Dream journal
✍️ Travel journal
✍️ Gratitude journal
✍️ Food journal
✍️ Fitness journal
✍️ Anime journal

No matter which type of journal you decide to keep, remember there is no right or wrong approach. It's all up to you. The simple act of taking the time to get in touch with your mind is what's truly important.
Although people nowadays keep blogs or vlogs, and record their lives on social media, very few of us jot in a journal and write down our experiences.

One of the more effective acts of self-care is also, happily, one of the cheapest. So why not give it a try?

🌱Few things to help channel that flow:
✍🏻Start journaling for 5 min at first. Then gradually add more time.
✍🏻Write at the same time every day if you can.
✍🏻Remember that journal is just for you. So you don’t need to impress anyone with your writing — not even yourself.
✍🏻Don’t worry if you skip a day.
.
I suggest you keep your journal private and try to be honest and real with yourself as possible.🥰
